Dr. Irena McQuarrie (She/Her) earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Ithaca College in 2007. She is dedicated to helping people maintain independence, enjoy their favorite activities, and meaningfully connect with loved ones.

Irena has lived and worked in several US states as well as  internationally, aiding people with  diverse health and mobility needs.  From outpatient orthopedics to neurological and short-term rehab, her broad experience equips her to design personalized, effective rehab treatments.

Irena, a Certified Brain Injury Specialist, has years of experience facilitating brain injury recovery. She supports survivors and families in adjusting to post-injury life and resuming community activities. Irena also has decades of experience in geriatric rehab, she is passionate with helping people of all ages safely remain in their homes.

Irena knows staying independent and safe while aging or recovering is tough. Families often struggle to support loved ones and navigate complex healthcare situations. Inspired by her own family's challenges, she founded Homestrong Services to provide clear strategies and resources for living with dignity and happiness across the aging and ability spectrum. She serves Cumberland and York Counties in Southern Maine.
